Zion Family News
Zion Will Again Be Hosting a Day Camp for children in grades 1 thru 6. Open to all children in the Loudonville-Perrysville area, this is a wonderful ministry to bring God's word to our children. Dates of our Day Camp are August 2-6, 2010. Donation envelopes are located on the table in the back of the sanctuary. If you have already made a contribution, THANK YOU! Did you know if each family in our congregation gave just $10.20, we could cover the entire cost of Day Camp!
Zion Community Dinners -Zion is providing a community dinner once a month on the second Monday of each month here at Zion. The dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome to join us for great food and fellowship! Shannon Sprang has graciously agreed to organize this ministry but welcomes and needs all of our help and support. There is a list on the back table if you would like to sign up to donate an item or your time.
Pastor Scott Henderson on WZLP 95.7FM: Listen each Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:00 for a broadcast of Pastor Henderson's earlier Bible studies. The program will be re-broadcast Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 9:00. A re-broadcast of the Zion 10:15am Sunday morning worship service, will air each Sunday evening at six. The service is broadcast live, each Sunday morning, for all homebound and those living outside the listening area.
Helping Hands (P.O. Box 274 Loudonville.) Items needed are: pancake syrup, flour, sugar, ketchup, salt, peas, pork & beans, mixed vegetables, navy beans, jelly, laundry detergent, spaghetti sauce, cream of mushroom soup. Tomatoes, vegetable oil, tooth brushes, tooth paste, tea, cereal, cake mixes. Please place your donations in the basket at the rear of the sanctuary and they will be delivered to Helping Hand. Your continued support is greatly appreciated!
SAL Soldier Care Package collection basket is in the back of the sanctuary. Please place your donations there and a member of our Church & Community committee will deliver them to the Legion for distribution.
Clean Pop Cans Needed for a Day Camp fund raiser. Please place your CLEAN, empty pop cans in the appropriate container in the back of the sanctuary.
The Evangelism Committee is looking for volunteers to transport people interested in attending worship services and other church events but cannot drive themselves. Anyone interested may contact Mary Alice Perrone at 419-994-4949.
Youth News
Baskets for Zion's 2010 High School Graduates are in the back of the sanctuary. Please fill these with items our young people can use as they begin college and military service. Gift cards for gas or food, toiletries, snacks, stationery, stamps, and school supplies are some suggestions. We will present the baskets to our youth in August.
The Luther League will be collecting pop can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. We have plans for a competition between Sunday School classes this fall. Start saving tabs now and help your class win!
